On February 13th Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber
resigned office. He was one month and one day into his fourth term. He resigned
because there was criminal investigation on him and his fiancé, Cylvia Hayes. There were allegations that he and Hayes were
abusive towards his office, and that they maybe committed crimes and ethics
violations. Kitzhaber wrote a letter to the secretary Kate Brown. He wrote to
her saying his resignation will happen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18th. Kate Brown will be taking over his place of governor.
